Your Questions Answered

We understand that starting therapy is a significant step, and you likely have questions. Here are answers to some common inquiries about working with Mind Body Pivot.

About Our Approach to Therapy

While talking is important, we often go beyond that. Our approach focuses on understanding the whole you – the deep connection between your mind and body, and how your unique nervous system responds to stress and life challenges. We use practical tools and proven methods tailored to you, aiming for real, lasting change, not just discussion.
It means we look at how stress, emotions, and past experiences can show up not just in your thoughts, but physically too. Understanding your specific patterns helps us choose the most effective strategies to help you feel calmer, safer, and more regulated from the inside out.
Absolutely. Many people come to us feeling exactly that way. Our goal is to provide you with effective tools and support to manage overwhelm, reduce anxiety, understand why you feel stuck, and help you move towards feeling clearer, calmer, and more like yourself again.
Our first session is mainly about connection and understanding. We’ll gently explore what brought you to therapy, your challenges, and your hopes. We’ll also discuss how we might work together and start creating a personalized plan focused on your goals.
It’s understandable to feel hesitant. Finding the right fit and the right approach is key. Our focus on mind-body connection, practical tools, and tailoring therapy to your unique nervous system might offer the different perspective and strategies needed for a breakthrough this time.

We also have a partnership with Mentaya to check for your benefits.
We offer flexible scheduling options to fit therapy into your life. All sessions are either in-person at our convenient location at I-15 & I-215 in Murray (address below) or via secure online video (telehealth), allowing you to access support conveniently from anywhere in Utah.
