Your Path to Inner Peace and Strong Connections

Hi, I’m Danna (rhymes with Banana!) Like many people I help today, I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and stretched thin, trying to keep everything together while feeling like you’re falling apart inside. It’s also a challenge when you are using every tool: nutrition, sleep, exercise, and everything you learned in previous therapy isn’t getting you what you need. My own journey, especially navigating the challenges of being a special needs mom, led me down a path where I was broken. But it also led me to discover powerful tools that helped me heal and feel like myself again.

Because I’ve walked this path, I understand that “just talking” often isn’t enough. Every person has a unique nervous system and adaptive patterns. It is essential to learn how to navigate your unique needs. That’s why my approach focuses on understanding the whole you – mind and body. We work together using the latest trauma-informed tools (the same kinds of tools that helped me) tailored specifically to your unique situation.

My passion is helping adults and couples move beyond just surviving. In a safe, supportive space, we find your turning points, build skills for lasting change, and create a path back to feeling calm, clear, connected, and confident. You can own your peace and build a life you love. Let’s explore how.

My Foundation: Education & Specialized Expertise

My commitment to helping others find healing and peace is built on a strong foundation of professional training. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University where I completed my graduate work on using ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for the intervention of trauma. I graduated Magna cum Laude in Psychology from The Ohio State University. As a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I provide experienced, professional guidance grounded in a deep understanding of human well-being.

Beyond my formal education, I’ve dedicated myself to learning advanced approaches that truly help people create lasting change. This includes specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Neurofeedback/biofeedback training in the Othmer Method, Brainspotting, IFS, techniques that honor the important connection between the mind and body (such as Somatic Experiencing), and practical, skill-building strategies drawn from approaches like CBT. Additionally, I’ve been trained in the attachment-based couples therapy Emotionally Focused Therapy. This ongoing learning ensures we can use the most helpful and appropriate tools tailored to your unique needs and path toward clarity and connection.
Currently I am the Director of Research and Development for Dr. Lisa Gold as she brings her groundbreaking model for facilitating ketamine-assisted psychotherapy to life. We are currently completing our first published work together: “Ketamine Curious: Your Ultimate Guide to Understanding Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy”.
